This model is better than the EXPS/XPS series because it takes common AA batteries (not those hard to find CR123As) and because of that lasts 2x as long on battery life. It's better than the 512 because it has quick detach (retain zero when taking it off the rifle), lower 1/3rd cowitness for easier aiming, side buttons for easy use with a magnifier.
