SPECS : The Argentine Mauser Model 1891 is a bolt-action military rifle adopted by Argentina in 1891, based on the Belgian Mauser Model 1889 and Turkish Mauser Model 1890. It was chambered in the 7.65x53mm Argentine cartridge, a bottlenecked, rimless smokeless powder round designed for high performance. The rifle featured a single-stack, five-round magazine, front-locking bolt lugs, a "wing"-type safety selector, and a one-piece wooden stock with a wood upper handguard secured by copper wire. It was manufactured in Berlin by Ludwig Loewe & Company and later by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM).
