New build recently completed of a Howa 1500 6mm ARC barreled mini-action upper from Brownell's (20" heavy barrel with 1:7.5" twist rate and 5/8x24" threading on muzzle [P/N HWB60804+]) mounted in a JTAC Industries Elf Owl chassis (14" integrated ARCA rail handguard, 1913 Picatinny stock adapter, cerakoted in M17 Coyote [P/N EOLCH]). Roughly zeroed @ 300 yards with the 105gr Hornady Black's and 103gr ELD-X, couldn't miss center mass of a 9x16 mini plate @ 340yards with 20mph winds. Trigger weight spring trimmed back a little over 1 coil to bring trigger pull down to something more appropriate of a compact precision rifle (~3lbs). Runs the factory 103gr ELD-X @ ~2,641fps (5 shots captured with SD 11.1, ES 30.8), 105gr Black @ ~2,695fps (10 shots captured with SD 18.6, ES 52.6), and 108 ELD-M @ ~2,674fps (5 shots captured with SD 13.6, ES 39.1) Don't feel like trying to keep track of brass between my AR15 precision 6mm ARC build and this one (fired brass from the AR will not even try to fit in the Howa with a tighter chamber). Also decided to go bigger instead for a second precision bolt gun (already have an RPR in 6.5 CM), so built up a 300PRC long range precision rifle (also starting with a Howa 1500 barreled action.) Chassis has MKM Adaptive Precision grip with diamond pattern grip panels/palm swells and precision thumb placer, Samson S.A.S II Tactical folding stock, and a brand new MDT GRND pod bipod mounted. The Howa barreled action has Vision Vulcan 6mm Brake, Outer Impact 20 MOA picatinny rail, Leupold PRW2 30mm High rings, Arken EPL-4 6-24x50mm scope, Hoptic USA V2 picatinny bubble level, and a Tactical clamp on bolt knob. Weight of full setup less mag is 10 lbs 13oz. Total setup build cost with the 5 mags came to over $2360. Would rather just sell outright if possible, but might consider trades. Trade value of $2000. Not really looking for any guns in trade but would be up for a decent $2000 range scope (anything 3-18 magnification or higher), or a nice pair of laser range finder binoculars, or a $1500 range scope ( again, anything 3-18 magnification or higher) + monocular laser range finder (at least 3k yard capability).
Shipping to FFL included in cost.
